Venice

Whilst revisiting Venice a few months ago I was rather taken with the statues of winged lions. They were sunbathing, sprawled lazily on steps, peering scowling from shady alcoves, ready to pounce and standing golden on tall pillars silhouetted against the sky.  So I've put a little St Mark's lion on a Venetian charm necklace, along with a gondola finial imprinted with a Burano lace pattern and a spherical vintage Murano button.  I like the way the button looks clear from the side but on closer inspection has a pink rose with leaves inside.
